One of the reasons medicine has not solved this issue is because very few studies have been focused on patients with bipolar disorders. The aforementioned research started out by identifying the factors that make weight loss difficult in bipolar patients. Some of the factors located are:. Gosh, I love cheese. I suggest you do different tests of your own. This is the only way you will figure out what is making you stall in your weight loss efforts. Depending upon your age and how much you have to lose, it may actually be beneficial to start out eating what seems like more, I would try the suggested amounts, and depending upon how things go for a week, adjust accordingly.
